ALASKA HOUSING FINANCE CORPORATION
(AHFC)
AHFC offers a wide array of loan programs, including specialty programs targeting first-time homebuyers, renovations and energy efficiency. Alaska Housing offers conventional or government guaranteed options, and can be especially beneficial for borrowers living in rural areas.
HOME EQUITY LOAN
Great for when you know how much you need and want the same payment throughout the life of the loan. You can stretch out your payments up to 180 months.
FRONTLINE HEROES PROGRAM
This program offers eligible frontline workers down payment as low as 0%! At least one borrower must be currently employed either full or part time in the following eligible professions: Teacher/Professor, Fire Department, Medical Care Provider, Federal/State/Local Government Law Enforcement, Nurse, EMT/Paramedic, or Active/Former Military. On your application, select 'conventional' as your loan type.
USDA LOAN
USDA Guaranteed loans are available for low- and moderate-income households in Juneau and eligible rural areas of Alaska to purchase adequate, modest, and safe homes as their personal residences. These loans have fixed-rate interest for a 30-year term.
HOME EQUITY LINE OF CREDIT (HELOC)

VA LOAN
